Each Seller has a designated catchment delivery area. This delivery area may change at any time due to factors such as weather, or demand for our service. This is to ensure that Items reach your door at their best. Each Seller will have its operating hours or delivery area. The availability of our service and the range of products that you can order depends on the sellers in your area or the area where you choose to collect your order from, as sometimes customers can place orders from sellers outside their delivery area and pay extra fee for delivery or collect these orders themselves.

If you try to order a delivery to a location outside the delivery catchment area or operating hours of a seller, or the application is otherwise unavailable for any reason, we will notify you that ordering will not be possible, however, we might inform you about alternative ways such as booking collection from the Seller's shop.

When you place an order through our application, it needs to be accepted by us and/ or the Seller before it is confirmed. We will send you a notification if your order has been accepted (the "Confirmation Notice"). The contract for the supply of any Item you have ordered comes into existence when we send the Confirmation Notice. You are responsible for paying for all Items ordered using your account, and for related delivery charges, and for complying with these Terms, even if you have ordered the item for someone else. Some Sellers operate a minimum order value policy. This will be displayed on our Site and App or during the checkout.

All Items are subject to availability. Sellers may use nuts or other allergens such as gluten, lactose, etc in the preparation of certain items. Increasing numbers of Partners and Sellers will be displaying allergens information on their products, where that information is not available or if you have further questions, please contact the Seller or the manufacturer of the product before ordering if you have any type of allergy. We will not display any kind of allergy information or advice for fresh produce such as vegetables, fruits, seafood or fresh meat. The customers with any kind of allergens are expected to verify and ensure that the products purchased by them are free from the allergens before ordering or before using them. Halalo.co.uk cannot guarantee that any of the items sold by our Sellers are free of allergens.

When you place an order, you might have the choice to place it as an ASAP Delivery or a Scheduled Delivery. For an ASAP Delivery, we will tell you an estimated delivery time for your order before you place it, but we will attempt delivery as soon as possible; you must therefore be available to accept delivery from the time you place the order. For a Scheduled Delivery, we will tell you the time when the item is expected to be delivered; you must be available to accept delivery for ten minutes before and ten minutes after that time.

Unfortunately, despite our, and our Seller's best efforts, things do not always go to plan and factors such as traffic and weather conditions may prevent us from delivering your Item on time. If any delivery is time-specific and if your order is more than 4 hours late, and we haven't notified you giving you the option to cancel your order, we will work with you to make things right unless you have caused the delay (e.g. because you gave us the wrong address or did not come to the door).

If we have not been able to deliver the order because of the wrong address, we will charge for delivery service and any fresh items or products specially made or customised for the customer as per the order.

We will attempt delivery at the address you provide to us when you place your order. If you need to change the delivery location/ address after you have placed your order, we may be able to change the address to an alternative one that is registered with your account if you let us know before the item/ order has been dispatched, and the new address is within the same zone as the address you originally ordered your Item to.

If we cannot change the delivery address, you have the option to cancel the order, but if there are items are specially made for you or if the products have been specially customised for you, you will be charged the full price for such Items, and if the Seller has been despatched it to you will also be charged for the home delivery service.

You will still be charged for the Item and delivery in the event of a failed delivery if you have caused such failure for any reason. Reasons you might cause a delivery to fail include (but are not limited to):

  • You do not come to the door, did not pick up the phone when we contacted you using the contact information you have provided to us and/or you picked up the phone but then failed to provide access within a reasonable amount of time, and the rider/ driver/ delivery person is unable to find a safe location to leave the items you ordered.

You have a legal right to receive goods that comply with their description, which are of satisfactory quality and which comply with any specific requirements you tell us about (and we agree to) before you place your order. If you believe that the Items you have been delivered do not comply with these legal rights, please let us know. We may request a photograph showing the problem if it is something that can be seen by inspecting the Items. We will provide a refund or account credit in respect of the affected part of the Item, and also in respect of delivery if the whole order was affected unless we have reasonable cause to believe that the problem was caused after delivery.

Before processing your refund or account credit, we may take into account relevant factors including the details of the order, including your account history, what happened on delivery and information from the Seller.

You may cancel an order without charge at any time before the Seller has started preparation (a "Started Order"). If you wish to cancel an order before it becomes a Started Order, please contact us immediately, via our application. If the Partner confirms the order was not a Started Order, we will refund your payment (excluding any discount, or Voucher that was applied to the order. If you cancel any order after it becomes a Started Order, you will be charged the full price for the Items or for the portion of items that cannot be returned, and if the Seller has dispatched the order, you will also be charged for the home delivery service.

Halalo and the Seller may notify you that an order has been cancelled at any time. You will not be charged for any orders cancelled by us or the Seller, and we will reimburse you for any payment already made using the same method you used to pay for your order. If you have used any gift vouchers, we will reissue the gift vouchers of equal value. If you have used any account credits, the credits will be returned to your account. We will not reactivate any discount or promo codes you used during the purchase and it will have no monetary value other than for the specific period and/or for the purchase.

Our Business focus is to link you to the businesses we partner with ("Sellers") and allow you to order Items for collection (our "Service"). Where you order from a Seller, Halalo acts as an agent on behalf of that Seller to facilitate your order from our application and to manage your experience throughout the order process. Once you have placed a Click & Collect order, you will be required to collect your items directly from the Seller/ Sellers at the location/ locations specified in the application (the "Collection Location"). In some cases, the Seller may be owned by us or affiliated with us.

Each Partner and Seller has a designated area within which it can accept Click & Collect Orders. Each one of the sellers decides their operating hours. That means that the availability of our service and the range of Partner/sellers from which you can order to collect, depends on the Partner/Sellers in your area or where you decided to order and collect your order. We will notify you, if you try to order from the Seller who is not delivering in your area or collect orders outside of their operating hours or if the application is not available for any reason.

All the fresh goods and products on the halalo.co.uk site and App are being carefully sourced by our partners/sellers as fresh. The Partners/sellers may have a physical presence in the high street, and they have a continuous flow of walk-in customers during their operational hours. So, some products might be available at the time of order, but not available at the time of collection from the shop. In this case, whether you will be contacted by us or the Seller to offer you a replacement or we will process your refund within 3 working days.

When you place a Click & Collect Order through our application, it needs to be accepted by us and/ or the Seller before it is confirmed. Your Click & Collect Order may be rejected at any time. Our Sellers may, for example, reject your Click & Collect Order if they are too busy or the Items you have ordered are temporarily unavailable.

We will send you a notification if your Click & Collect Order has been accepted (the "Confirmation Notice"). The contract for the supply of any Item you have ordered comes into existence when we send the Confirmation Notice. You are responsible for paying for all Items ordered using your account and for complying with these Terms, even if you have ordered the item for someone else. Our sellers operate a minimum order value policy. This will be displayed on our application. All Items are subject to availability.

Partner seller may use nuts or other allergens in the preparation of certain Items. If that information is not available or if you have further questions, please contact the Seller or the product manufacturer before ordering if you have an allergy. Halalo cannot guarantee that any of the items sold by our Partners or Sellers are free of allergens.

When you place a Click & Collect Order which is accepted by the Partner Seller, the Seller will tell you the time when your Items are expected to be ready for collection ("Target collection Time"). The Target collection Time is not guaranteed by either us or our partners or sellers. You will be required to collect your items directly from our partners or sellers at the designated Click & Collect Location, whether this location is the Seller's shop or the partner's warehouse. You must arrive at the Seller to collect your items at or just before the Target collection Time. Our Seller will hold your items for you for 60 minutes after the Target collection Time. If you fail to collect your items within 60 minutes after the Target collection Time, the Seller may dispose of your Items. Unfortunately, despite our, and our Sellers' best efforts, things do not always go as planned and there may be times when your Items are not ready for collection at the Target collection Time. If your order is not ready for more than 30 minutes after the Target collection Time, the customer can contact us via our normal contact channels and raise a complaint. We will initiate the investigation of the complaint and will do every effort to resolve the inconvenience caused to you. Your feedback will help us to improve our services and avoid the recurrence of such inconvenience in the future
